What to expect in your first six months

​

  • Assigned a work go to (Buddy) - Geoff Wilson 

  • A morning Tea with the Group General Manager - Michael Blucher

  • On the job training - with a mentor or your manager

  • Off the job training - on line  modules - job specific

  • 1:1 formal documented progress interview at the 3 month stage with your Manager / Team leader (mid probation check in)

  • Your opportunity to complete a HR feedback questionnaire at this stage sent by HR.

  • Continuation of training and access to your Buddy who will "check in with you"

  • 1:1 formal documented progress interview at the 5 1/2  month stage with your Manager / Team leader (probation completion) - a formal letter will then be issued to you for your successful / unsuccessful probation.

  • End of probation feedback survey sent by HR - your opportunity to have your say of how we can improve the process.

Meet your Buddy

Geoff is your go to person for anything that your not sure about in the company or where to find things or if you need help with something.  If you are not confident asking your manger at this stage as everybody learns differently and you may just need some extra time to get your head around something. Geoff can help in many aspects of the business as he has been with the dealership since 2008, and has a plethora of knowledge.  Geoff will also be a link in to HR issues if you need.  Geoff will be responsible for booking your initial 1:1 with your manager and for sending and collating staff feedback surveys, where you get your chance to have your say.
